Halim Wise

HR Executive

Halim Wise is a strategic executive and trusted advisor with leadership roles in Human Resources and business functional areas.

Halim has a successful track record of partnering with executives to enhance human capital and operational excellence across multiple businesses. As a leader in his field for 20 years, Halim has proven his ability not only to significantly improve and redefine key business practices, but to empower the employees who are responsible for carrying them out. His expertise in proactively providing counsel on key priorities, successfully driving people, leadership and organizational development, critical business analyses, succession planning, talent attraction and retention informs all his work.

Currently, Mr. Wise is Vice President of Global Human Resources for Time Warner Inc. and a valued HR Business Partner. He leads a global team that provides strategic consultation/solutions to all EVPs and clients, partnering with leaders in various geographies to consistently establish, achieve and measure key performance objectives. Halim enhanced HR Analytics and Operational Effectiveness by creating a Human Capital people analytics group, and by spearheading human capital strategies that improve synergies and cost saving opportunities. Mr. Wise mitigates corporate risk by guiding leaders and employees on employment law and other legal exposure matters through the creation/adherence of HR policies, and through an emphasis on mutual respect and diversity in the workplace. He also leads the design and delivery of engaging and innovative HR employee communications.

From 2008 to 2010, Mr. Wise served as Pricing Execution Director and SVP for Citigroup, driving change in the Citi Cards business during its most challenging financial times.  He helped create financial strategy to increase revenue, reduce losses and transform the retail banking business to avoid business failure, subsequently tracking success and identifying additional areas of improvement due to regulatory and legislative change. As well, he participated in a Business Transformation & Optimization team to drive innovation efforts across various functions, realizing $13B+ in savings from marketing programs, and developed relationships to successfully oversee project phases from design to execution. In his role as Senior HR Generalist and VP with Citigroup (2005 – 2008), he partnered with business leaders on various HR initiatives to achieve key goals and create a centralized organizational model. He reduced turnover by 29%, calibrated rewards and recognition programs by driving  change management initiatives, engaged Citi Cards business leaders in a Talent Inventory Review and managed his team to drive Diversity and HR Scorecard work.

Prior to that Halim started his career at JPMorgan Chase in a world class leadership development program.  He leveraged this experience to serve as a Financial Analyst and then Client Relationship Manager for UBS Financial Services Inc.  He earned a B.A. cum laude from the University of Albany, and an M.A. in Organizational Psychology with Honors from Columbia University. He is an INROADS Alumni, former ALP board member and active member of SHRM.
